There was a goal yesterday to do yoga on the beach but at 10 in the morning, the sun was already scorching hot and just being out for a few minutes was enough to burn.  Of course that is what sun screen is for but it just doesn't sound like a good plan to do too much physical activity in that kind of heat.  I did however find a new pose that I want to try out: Mayurasana (peacock pose).  This arm balance looks difficult though I'm sure with some practice I'll be able to master it.

For the most of the day it was very relaxing.  Actually, lazy is a better word.  I didn't do anything.  Laid in bed for the whole day and thought about doing yoga.  It was difficult to motivate myself so instead I just went through the motions in my head.  Does that count?  I realized that it was already Sunday and there were birthdays to celebrate though!

Since I have been at Los Amigos there has been four birthdays already!  It must be a tradition to start celebrating birthdays right at the stroke of midnight because that's when the festivities began!  There was multi-language birthday song, cake, and even a didgeridoo!  One of the guests from Germany knows how to play the instrument and delighted everyone with a couple of which was "Happy Birthday" although no one could tell.

Later, when everyone had enough cake (even Pana had some) we all sat around outside and listened to guitar music and just enjoyed the cool ocean breeze.  I don't think life here on Tenerife can get any better than this!  If it does, I might have have to find myself a cave to live in and never leave.  People do that here.
