Amsterdam Centraal Amsterdam Centraal Ken Ku

I took the train from Hannover to Amsterdam today.  Thankfully Lennard offered to drive me to Hannover station which made the trip a lot more comfortable!  I also reserved a compartment for the ride so that I could sit in an area that's relatively private.  There are only six seats in the compartment and for the most of the ride to Amsterdam I had the lights turned off and had a nice little nap.

I arrived at Amsterdam Centraal around 2030 and walking out of the station I knew that my hostel is very close but I am back in a country where street signs are on the side of buildings and they're not always clearly posted.  That is one thing I really liked in Germany.  All the street signs posted in logical places where they are easy to find and see.  From directions, I could see one of the landmarks from the train station so I made my way towards it but for the life of me I couldn't find the street sign.  I finally just decided to walk down the main street.

At the very end of the main street, I found a the street that I was supposed to be on and turned into it but had to back track all the way back to the train station.  It was a roundabout way to get there but it still worked.  I must have missed the alleyway that cuts over on my walk down the main street somehow.
